SHINE 2.0 will be the new name for the SHINE Award Programme effective from the year 2018 as it is an enhanced version focusing on the intentional advancement and delivery of life skills into the curriculum and a more self-directed experiential learning journey for students.
The Core Empowerment Series is now integrated into the curriculum under the Taylor’s University New Curriculum Framework. It will now be called Life Skills Modules where it will be positioned in the University Core Module (UCM / MPU). All First Year and First Semester Undergraduate student will be required to take these modules which emphasizes on experiential learning.

SHINE students can only apply for one (1) SHINE Award by the end of their SHINE Learning Journey. Upon award application, SHINE students must have accumulated enough points and met the activity requirements for the award tier applied.
There are 3 Award Tiers with different points and activity requirements
(i) SHINE Silver Award - 1100 points
(ii) SHINE Gold Award - 1500 points
(iii) SHINE Platinum Award - 2000 points
